Homeschool Music Courses

Homeschool Music Courses offer an introduction to a musical instrument or specific area of music instruction.

This is a great way to explore music, learn basic music theory and musical concepts, and learn how to play your instrument in a group setting.

The courses are 8 to 10 weeks long and meet for one hour per week. There are no make up sessions. However, if a session is cancelled by the studio/teacher due to illness or weather, the session will be rescheduled. All classes are small sizes, due to limited available space.

If a course does not have the minimum required students, it will be cancelled. So if you are interested, let your friends know about the course and maybe they'll want to join with you.

WunderKeys Piano Lab

Start Dates:

Tuesday 9/7/21 11:30am-12:30pm

Wednesday 9/8/21 11:30am-12:30pm

Duration: 1 Hour session per week (September-May)

Cost: $70 per month and one-time $35 Registration Fee (includes first books)

Class Size: 3-4 students

Ages: 5-9 years old

Requirements: Student must have a keyboard or piano to practice on at home. A small one is fine, as long as it has standard width keys. (weighted keys are recommended) Students are required to practice five days a week to keep up with the fast pace class environment. Fun Practice incentives are offered to help parents set up a good practice routine at home. Students must respect teacher, equipment, and their classmates at all times. They also need to be able to sit and focus on the task at hand.

Description: WunderKeys Piano Lab  is a fun introduction to the keyboard for any child who may be interested in music. All students start on the Primer level 1 and work at their own pace through the material. Once Primer Level 1 is completed, they will continue on to the next level. Although it is set up to allow students to progress at their own pace, there are group times where we go over new concepts, and review theory through games and worksheets. Individual instruction is giving to each student every week. This time allows the teacher to help each student with their personal progress on the instrument, answer questions, and correct technique. Our multi-level piano lab allows students of different ages to learn piano together at their own age appropriate pace. (Great for sibling groups)

Even though students move along at their own pace, it is still considered a fast pace environment due to the fact that the student is required to be able to know their week's assignment and perform it for the teacher with relatively good understanding of the material. (we can't have students taking up the class time struggling through each assigned piece note by note. This is unfair to the other students in the class.) This is why they are required to practice five days a week at home.
