Policies

Registration Fee:

There is a registration fee of $35 per student for first-year students.  This fee covers the cost of music books, ensemble music, and other studio costs for the first year.

The registration fee is required for the first and second child, but it is waived for additional children enrolled per family. (Any books needed for the additional children will still be charged to parents but studio costs are waived)


Cancellations:

Please note that students reserve time slots in the teaching schedule, which requires preparation and planning.  There are no refunds for missed/canceled lessons.  Due to our monthly flat fee, students receive a free lesson four times throughout the year. (during five-week months) If Kids Arise Music Academy is closed due to inclement weather or teacher illness, your account will be credited for the missed lesson. 

 

Billing:

Billing is done on a month-to-month basis.  An invoice will be emailed to you for all lessons in the upcoming month. Payments are due by the first lesson of each month. Parents may log in to the website to check their payment history.

We have a monthly flat rate which reserves your weekly time slot. Most of the time there are four weeks in a month and occasionally there are five, but the monthly rate remains the same regardless of the number of weeks during the month. (credit would be given if the studio is closed) If you start lessons in the middle of the month we will pro-rate the fee for anything less than four lessons. We don't reschedule missed lessons; the flat rate is strictly time reserve.

     Payments may be made in cash, check, or through PayPal. (all checks should be made out to Stacy Thomas)

     There is a $10 late fee applied to payments received after the 10th of the month.

 Group classes are based on a yearly tuition which is divided between 36 classes.  Due to this, each month the rate remains the same whether there are 3, 4, or 5 weeks of lessons in that month.  You are paying the tuition based on 36 classes in the year.  If the studio is closed due to teacher illness or inclement weather, then your account would be credited for the canceled classes.  

Privacy:

The information provided on student forms is secure and private. It is used for enrollment purposes only. We respect the privacy of our students and families and do not share your information with any outside parties. 

 

Referral Rewards Program:

We welcome and reward new student referrals! We will automatically apply a $20 credit to your monthly invoice when a student you have referred to us enrolls in music lessons. We will reward up to four new student referral credits per family/per school year, worth up to $80 in savings every school year.

 

Holidays:

We are closed on the following holidays:  

Independence Day, New Year's Day, New Year's Eve, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and Christmas Eve.
